Vivekananda Mission Asram has been distributing sets of new Clothes & Food/Fruits Packets to the poor and needy School Children of the local primary schools and the Visually Impaired students on the occasion of Mahalaya Day every year since 1974. Last year, 999 sets of new Clothes & Food Packets were distributed to the poor and needy School Children of the local primary schools and the Visually Impaired students.

As a part of annual relief activity, Vivekananda Mission Asram has been extending its helping hands by Distributing Winter Garments, Food Stuffs & Fruit Packets to the poor and needy people of Sutahata Block, a part of Mahishadal & Haldia Block areas since 1980. Last year, 3150 poor and needy people were given the said releif materials. .
Besides, Vivekananda Mission Asram has been distributing Shwals with Fruit Packets to the Defferently Abled People of the locality including the students of VMA Residential School for the Blind, SHRUTI School for the Deaf & Dumb, Ghosermore and Nimtouri-Tamluk Unnayan Samiti Special School for Visually Impaired, Mentally Retarded and Multiple Disabled every year for more than four decades. Number of the beneficiaries in the last year was 890.
