Born on 24th May 1939, Swami Biswanathananda dedicated his life for the betterment of mankind in general and visually impaired persons in particular thus keeping the flame of hope and zest of life glowing eternally in their lives. Swami Biswanathananda started working as the General Secretary of the Vivekananda Mission Asram in 1962. He has played a vital role in providing educational facilities to the visually impaired upto post-graduate level and also establishing centres for visually impaired boys and girls. Swamiji has received many state, national and international awards for his altruistic services. He is an epitome of sacrifice with the motto of "Service above self". In fact, Vivekananda Mission Asram has nurtured well under his guidance.
